Alamo Drafthouse to Rename Littleton Theater in Honor of Pam Grier
A major tribute to a genre-defining icon is set for May as Alamo Drafthouse Cinema announces its Littleton, Colorado location will be officially renamed The Pam Grier Cinema.
The dedication will take place on Friday, May 15, celebrating Pam Grier’s lasting impact on film and culture. The event will include a rare 35mm double feature screening of Foxy Brown and Jackie Brown—two of her most influential performances.
Between screenings, Grier will participate in a live, long-form conversation about her career, moderated by Nina Henderson Moore, offering audiences a deeper look into her work and legacy.

Grier’s career spans decades, with early roles in films like Coffy, Sheba, Baby, and The Big Doll House, where she became one of the defining faces of 1970s cinema. Her resurgence in Jackie Brown, directed by Quentin Tarantino, reintroduced her to a new generation and reaffirmed her influence across genres.
The Littleton location now joins a select group of Alamo Drafthouse theaters named after influential filmmakers and performers, including Spike Lee, John Hughes, Ivan Reitman, and Bong Joon Ho.
Originally opened in 2013, the Littleton venue was Alamo’s first Colorado location and has since expanded its offerings with updated projection and sound technology, including HDR by Barco and Dolby Atmos.
The May 15 event marks both a formal renaming and a broader recognition of Grier’s ongoing influence, with additional screenings of her work planned throughout the summer.
Tickets for the celebration event are currently available through Alamo Drafthouse, with commemorative items also being released alongside the announcement.
