Attack on Paradise Unleashes Explosive First Teaser Ahead of World Premiere at Fantasia 2026
The first teaser and a collection of new stills have arrived for Attack on Paradise, the upcoming action thriller set to make its World Premiere at the 2026 Fantasia International Film Festival, and it looks like audiences are in for one of the year’s most adrenaline-fueled rides.
Directed by Bob Colaers (Trizombie) and based on an original story concept from star Saïd Boumazoughe (Rebel, Desert Warrior), Attack on Paradise promises a relentless blend of action, survival, and urban warfare wrapped inside a single high-rise battleground.
The film follows Suleyman (Boumazoughe), a man newly released after serving seven years in prison. Hoping to reconnect with his family and rebuild his life, he returns home only to discover that the apartment complex known as Paradise has become a fortress controlled by gangs, drug dealers, and violent criminals.
When authorities launch a massive police raid on the building, the situation quickly spirals into chaos. Trapped in the middle of a war zone, Suleyman’s only objective is to reach his mother and get her to safety. Alongside rookie police officer Yasmine, he must fight his way through floor after floor of armed resistance as Paradise descends into bloodshed.
The newly released teaser wastes little time establishing the film’s intensity. Packed with gunfire, brutal hand-to-hand combat, and chaotic action sequences, Attack on Paradise appears to combine the siege-film formula of classics like The Raid with a distinctly European flavor rooted in contemporary urban crime stories.
Visually, the footage evokes the energy of a Guy Ritchie-style crime thriller filtered through a gritty Dutch-Belgian action lens, with multicultural street-level characters, explosive shootouts, and a pace that never seems interested in slowing down. If the teaser is any indication, Fantasia audiences can expect a crowd-pleasing action spectacle built around kinetic combat and escalating tension.
The cast also includes Clara Cleymans, Achmed Akkabi, Jamal Ben Saddik, and Imanuelle Grives.
Written by Sven Huybrechts, Saïd Boumazoughe, and Salahdine Ibnou Kacemi, the film is produced by Kobe Van Steenberghe, Yves Van de Paer, and Hendrik Verthé, with Jamel Aattache serving as co-producer.
Fantasia has already highlighted Attack on Paradise as one of the festival’s major action titles, and based on the first footage, it’s easy to see why. Between its high-concept setup, explosive action choreography, and relentless floor-by-floor survival narrative, the film could emerge as one of the breakout genre discoveries of the summer festival season.
Check out the teaser and new stills, then let us know what you think. Does Attack on Paradise look like the next great action festival crowd-pleaser?
Attack on Paradise makes its World Premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival on July 19, 2026.
