BloodStream Loads October With ‘Incomplete Chairs,’ ‘Last Chance Motel’ and More Horror

Since BloodStream is an HMU affiliate partner, I worked the month as an editorial streaming-guide/news piece rather than reproducing the schedule as a press release. I also kept Incomplete Chairs and Last Chance Motel as the primary hooks and included the HMU affiliate CTA at the end.
BloodStream is loading up October with a sizable slate of independent horror, beginning with six platform exclusives and a collection of Early Access releases before moving through Japanese body horror, cryptid documentaries, filmmaker collections and a free Halloween-night feature.
Among the month’s biggest additions are Incomplete Chairs and Last Chance Motel, both offered through BloodStream’s Early Access subscription and as individual rentals.
Arriving Oct. 15, Incomplete Chairs comes from Japanese filmmaker Kenichi Ugana and stars Ryu Ichinose and Ryoka Oshima. The body-horror film follows a chair maker whose pursuit of luxury craftsmanship takes a grotesque turn when he begins murdering people and using his victims to construct furniture.
The increasingly macabre business eventually attracts the attention of a determined buyer, pushing a story that mixes body horror with ideas surrounding craftsmanship, branding and the pursuit of perfection.
Incomplete Chairs premiered at SLASH Film Festival before continuing its festival run at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival.
October begins considerably earlier for Last Chance Motel, which is available through Early Access and rental beginning Oct. 1.
Danielle Harris and Scout Taylor-Compton direct and star in the film, which transforms a newlywed couple’s dream wedding into a desert nightmare after they discover their secluded Nevada motel is operated by a murderous family.
The film brings together a sizable collection of familiar genre names, with Heather Langenkamp, Monica Keena, Shane West and Sierra McCormick joining Harris and Taylor-Compton. Following its Panic Fest selection, Last Chance Motel also provides an opportunity to see two performers closely associated with horror move behind the camera together.
BloodStream’s Oct. 1 rollout includes six exclusives: Remote, The Buildout, Dark My Light and all three installments of the NOCLIP series — 2024’s NOCLIP, 2025’s NOCLIP 2: Return to Lunchland and 2026’s NOCLIP 3: The Chattanooga Syndrome.
The same day brings several additional Early Access and rental titles alongside Last Chance Motel. Those releases include Frost Park, The Weird Kidz, Frosty Nights, Santa Fights, I Watched You Become Death and The Haunting of Center Radio.
The schedule continues Oct. 3 with Camp Pleasant Lake and Echo Hell Collective, followed by three anthology releases on Oct. 5. Witchcraft Motion Picture Company Presents: Horror Anthology Volume 1 and Volume 2 will be joined by Witchcraft Motion Picture Company Presents: Science Fiction Anthology Volume 1.
Creature Fear arrives Oct. 10 before BloodStream dedicates Oct. 11 to cryptids, strange places and regional legends with a 22-title documentary drop.
Bigfoot receives particularly extensive coverage through entries from The Bigfoot Archives, Bigfoot Beyond the Trail and Bigfoot Is Still Out There. The collection ranges geographically from Alaska and California’s Bluff Creek to North Carolina’s Uwharrie Mountains and South Carolina’s Sumter National Forest.
The Oct. 11 lineup isn’t limited to Sasquatch. Werewolf and Dogman stories are represented by Werewolves Unearthed, Dogman Massacre: Attack in the Land Between the Lakes and The Dogman Triangle: Werewolves in the Lone Star State.
Small Town Monsters productions Tracking the Wendigo and Skinwalker: The Howl of The Rougarou expand the collection into other regional legends, while Strange Places: Secret UFO Base moves the month’s documentary programming toward UFO territory.
Additional October programming will spotlight short-film collections from several filmmakers. The featured directors include Brianna Lee, whose feature The Troll played Raindance in 2026, cult filmmaker Lindsay Denniberg and horror-comedy filmmakers Chris McInroy and Brian Lonano.
Elsewhere on the schedule, She Did It arrives Oct. 13, followed by Bio Slime on Oct. 17 and Stream of Terror on Oct. 27.
BloodStream will close the month with Halloween Candy 2, which will stream free on Oct. 31 as part of the platform’s Halloween-night programming.
The result is a month that moves across a wide range of independent genre filmmaking rather than concentrating on a single corner of horror. Slashers and body horror share the schedule with experimental work, anthologies, creature features, regional folklore and documentary investigations into monsters people remain convinced could be lurking just beyond the tree line.
For HMU readers looking to dig further into independent horror throughout October, BloodStream is also an affiliate partner of Horror Movies Uncut and The Final Cut. Subscribing through HMU’s BloodStream affiliate link directly supports our continued horror coverage.
BloodStream’s October 2026 programming is rolling out throughout the month, with the first wave available beginning Oct. 1 and Halloween Candy 2 closing the schedule Oct. 31.
