That’s the message from Universal’s first look at Nobody 2, the long-awaited sequel to the 2021 cult action hit that turned Bob Odenkirk into a bat-wielding action icon. Directed by Timo Tjahjanto (The Night Comes for Us), this follow-up trades Russian mobsters for shady carnies, backwoods corruption, and one completely unhinged Sharon Stone.
Four years after putting his family’s safety on the line and tearing through the Russian underworld, Hutch (Odenkirk) is still paying the price—literally. He’s racked up $30 million in blood debt, working it off one international hit at a time. But when burnout kicks in and his marriage to Becca (Connie Nielsen) starts to fray, Hutch decides to do the unthinkable: take a break.
The result? A family getaway to Wild Bill’s Majestic Midway and Waterpark—yes, that’s really the name—where Hutch once vacationed as a kid with his brother Harry (RZA). But in true Nobody fashion, chaos isn’t far behind.
What begins as an innocent run-in with local bullies snowballs into an all-out war with a corrupt carnival kingpin (John Ortiz) and his off-the-rails sheriff (Colin Hanks). But the real threat? A maniacal crime boss played by none other than Sharon Stone, chewing scenery like it’s her last meal.
Cue the takedowns, blood splatter, and tactical mayhem—because Hutch doesn’t run from trouble, he invites it.
Bob Odenkirk leads a stacked cast including Nielsen, RZA, Christopher Lloyd (back as Hutch’s trigger-happy dad), and newcomers Ortiz, Hanks, and Stone in what might be her wildest role since Casino. The film is co-written by John Wick creator Derek Kolstad and Jack Ryan scribe Aaron Rabin, promising the same brutal wit and jaw-cracking action that made Nobody a sleeper hit.
Produced by 87North’s David Leitch and Kelly McCormick—the same team behind Bullet Train and The Fall Guy—Nobody 2 looks to dial everything up: the stakes, the body count, and the absurdity.
The Trailer? A Slam-Packed Carnival of Carnage.
Odenkirk has never looked more comfortable in chaos, and with Tjahjanto at the helm, expect bone-snapping violence shot with style, precision, and a wicked grin.
Nobody 2 hits theaters later this year. Until then, enjoy the trailer and ask yourself:
Would you really mess with a man who once took down the Russian mob with a coffee mug and a bus pass?
Didn’t think so.
Watch the trailer now. You’ll never look at a family vacation the same way again.
