Breaking Glass Pictures Acquires Italian Psychological Thriller The Boat for North American Release

Marco Bocci, Diane Fleri, and Filippo Nigro star in Alessio Liguori’s The Boat, a psychological thriller acquired by Breaking Glass Pictures.

Breaking Glass Pictures has announced the North American release of The Boat, a tense new psychological thriller from director Alessio Liguori (In the Trap). The film will arrive on digital platforms across the U.S. and Canada on October 14, 2025.

Written by Gianluca Ansanelli, Nicola Salerno, and Ciro Zecca, The Boat charts the unraveling of a dream vacation at sea. Three young couples set sail on a luxurious yacht in the Mediterranean, only to find themselves stranded with no fuel, food, or water. As the vessel drifts further from safety, a sinister voice over the radio begins to manipulate their every move, turning their idyllic getaway into a psychological nightmare.

With survival on the line, paranoia and desperation give way to buried truths, forcing each passenger to confront dark secrets that may be more dangerous than the unseen force guiding their fate.

The Italian-language feature stars Marco Bocci, Diane Fleri, Filippo Nigro, Marina Rocco, Caterina Shulha, Alessandro Tiberi, and Eduardo Valdarnini. Produced by Marco Belardi for Lotus Production, the film adds to Breaking Glass Pictures’ growing slate of international genre offerings.
