Oscilloscope has released the official trailer and poster for The Kidnapping of Arabella, the latest feature from writer-director Carolina Cavalli, arriving in theaters on July 17.

Starring Benedetta Porcaroli, Lucrezia Guglielmino, and Chris Pine, the film blends drama, comedy, and coming-of-age storytelling into an unconventional road trip centered on two characters searching for meaning in their lives.

The story follows Holly, a young woman stuck in a dead-end job who spends her days contemplating alternate realities, time loops, and the choices that have shaped her life. Frustrated by where she has ended up, Holly becomes fascinated by the possibility that life could somehow offer a second chance.

That possibility appears to arrive when she meets Arabella, an outspoken eight-year-old girl determined to escape her complicated home life and her self-absorbed author father.

Convinced that their meeting is more than coincidence, Holly begins to believe that Arabella may actually be a version of herself from the past, somehow sent back through time. Driven by that belief, the pair set off on a journey that becomes both an emotional escape and a search for answers.
