Be careful who you let into your party—especially when they were never invited in the first place. Dark Star Pictures has acquired the North American rights to The Disinvited, the new psychological thriller from director Devin Lawrence, and has confirmed a limited Los Angeles theatrical release this November, preceding its digital rollout.

Fresh off its Audience Award win at Dances With Films in Hollywood, The Disinvited has already earned buzz for its tense slow-burn storytelling and razor-sharp performances. What begins as an earnest attempt at reconnection turns into a violent spiral of paranoia and betrayal when an uninvited guest crashes a wedding, bringing old wounds and new horrors to the surface.

The film stars Sam Daly (The Office, Bel-Air) in a career-defining role, joined by Dani Reynolds, Ryan Vincent, and Alana Johnston. Produced by Matthew Mourgides, the film first premiered in Brazil this past April, where it drew international acclaim for its unsettling portrait of obsession and humiliation.

New images from the film were released alongside today’s announcement, giving audiences their first look at the eerie, sun-soaked paranoia that Lawrence conjures in the desert setting.
