Fantastic Fest rolled out the red carpet last night for the world premiere of Gore Verbinski’s Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die, marking one of the most high-profile events of this year’s festival in Austin, TX.

Verbinski — best known for The Ring, Pirates of the Caribbean, and A Cure for Wellness — was on hand to present his new genre-bending action/comedy to an eager Fantastic Fest audience.

The film follows a man who claims to be from the future as he takes the patrons of a legendary Los Angeles diner hostage, recruiting an unlikely team of misfits to help him save the world.

The cast is loaded with talent, including Sam Rockwell, Haley Lu Richardson, Michael Peña, Zazie Beetz, Asim Chandhry, Tom Taylor, and Juno Temple — all bringing their own flair to this time-twisting, high-stakes story.

Written by Matthew Robinson and produced by Verbinski alongside Robert Kulzer, Erwin Stoff, Oly Obst, and Denise Chamian, Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die brings a wild mix of sci-fi spectacle, sharp comedy, and dystopian paranoia to the screen — the perfect recipe for Fantastic Fest.
