SAMUEL GOLDWYN FILMS & STUDIOCANAL UNLEASH TRAILER FOR SCI-FI HORROR COMEDY COLD STORAGE — STARRING JOE KEERY, GEORGINA CAMPBELL & LIAM NEESON

Samuel Goldwyn Films and StudioCanal have dropped the official trailer and key art for Cold Storage, the upcoming sci-fi horror-comedy event from acclaimed screenwriter David Koepp and producer Gavin Polone. The film will hit theaters exclusively on February 13, 2026, and if the first footage is any indication, audiences should prepare for an explosion of splatter, slime, fungal nightmares, and absolute mayhem.

Cold Storage stars Joe Keery (Stranger Things), Georgina Campbell (Barbarian), and Sosie Bacon (Smile), with heavy-hitting support from Vanessa Redgrave, Lesley Manville, and Liam Neeson—the latter stepping in as a grizzled, retired bioterror operative who may be the only thing standing between humanity and total extinction.

The story follows Teacake (Keery) and Naomi (Campbell), two young employees working the night shift at a self-storage facility built over the ruins of an old U.S. military base. Things go from mundane to apocalyptic when a parasitic fungus—sealed away decades ago by the government—breaks loose in the lowest sublevel. As temperatures rise, the microorganism mutates at blistering speed, unleashing body-bursting, mind-altering chaos on every living thing inside the facility.

With the outbreak accelerating, Teacake and Naomi are forced into an unlikely battle for survival, aided by Neeson’s world-weary operative in a race to contain the organism before it spreads beyond the walls and triggers a global catastrophe.

From the trailer alone, it’s clear Cold Storage is leaning fully into its goo-soaked, creature-feature roots. The blend of slapstick horror, parasitic gross-out effects, and Koepp’s signature energy evokes everything from The Blob to ’80s splatter classics—delivered with modern scale and a wicked sense of humor.

And yes: the effects may look wild, digitized, and at times gleefully exaggerated—but that’s part of the joy. If you’re the kind of genre fan who loves slime, mutation sequences, and big-swing genre mayhem, Cold Storage looks poised to hit the spot.

A new trailer mixing horror and comedy tends to send people searching for similar shows, yet that prompts memories of streaming interruptions that resemble complaints involving apple tv plus. Viewers recall sudden pauses during playback or episodes refusing to load after app updates. When someone is excited to follow a new release, disruptions can break the mood. Understanding how often such problems happened helps viewers plan buffer time or consider watching during less busy hours.
