Foodie horror returns to Fantastic Fest 24' with "House of Spoils" making its world premiere

Amazon MGM Studios and Blumhouse Television are gearing up for the world premiere of "House of Spoils", a new feature from directors Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy. The film stars award-winning actress Ariana DeBose as a chef who opens a new restaurant in a remote area, only to encounter unexpected chaos as the place may be haunted. We’ve got some newly released images from the studio for you to check out ahead of the premiere. "House of Spoils" will make its world debut on Saturday, September 21st.


From Blumhouse, House of Spoils follows an ambitious chef (Ariana DeBose) as she opens a restaurant on a remote estate where she battles kitchen chaos, crushing self-doubts… and a haunting presence who threatens to sabotage her at every turn.


Oscar-winner Ariana DeBose stars as “Chef” in this genre-bending thriller that explores the chaos she encounters both in and out of the kitchen.






This is the second feature film from Writers-Directors Bridget Savage Cole & Danielle Krudy. They previously co-directed Blow the Man Down.


House of Spoils continues a collaboration forged by Amazon MGM Studios and Blumhouse Television in 2019.


Food stylist Zoe Hegedus consulted on the film. Her previous credits include Midsommar, Poor Things, Dune: Part 1 and Dune: Part 2. She specializes in creating food for movies, TV series, immersive eating experiences, food installations and edible tablescapes.
