The Bots Are Back: First Trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 Unleashes Animatronic Mayhem
The evil has officially left the building. Today, Universal and Blumhouse dropped the first trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, and the killer robots are far from finished. Returning director Emma Tammi once again brings Scott Cawthon’s blockbuster game series to life, this time taking the terror beyond the walls of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.
Set one year after the events of the first film, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 reveals how the twisted legacy of Freddy’s has become local legend, giving rise to a full-blown town festival—Fazfest. But behind the colorful fanfare lies a much darker truth.
Josh Hutcherson and Elizabeth Lail return as Mike and Vanessa, who’ve been hiding the real story from Mike’s younger sister Abby (Piper Rubio). When Abby sneaks out to reunite with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, the creatures are reawakened—and this time, they’re not staying inside the pizzeria.
Joining the chaos are newcomers Freddy Carter (Shadow and Bone), Wayne Knight (Jurassic Park), Mckenna Grace (Ghostbusters: Afterlife), and horror royalty Skeet Ulrich (Scream). Also returning are Theodus Crane as Jeremiah and Matthew Lillard as the sinister William Afton.
The trailer teases full-blown mayhem as Freddy and friends bring their supernatural slaughter to the streets, ensuring Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 will be a sequel that cranks up the carnage.
The film is written by Scott Cawthon and produced by Jason Blum and Cawthon, with executive producers Emma Tammi, Beatriz Sequeira, Christopher Warner, Russell Binder, and Marc Mostman.
After grossing nearly $300 million worldwide with its record-breaking debut in 2023, Freddy’s is back to reclaim the box office throne.
