Let’s face it—we all love Halloween. It’s the perfect holiday for horror fans, and if your cousin owned their own haunted attraction, you’d jump at the chance to work there… right?
Well, maybe not if it comes with a bloody price tag.
That’s exactly the setup in The Haunted Forest, the new horror feature from director Keith Boynton, making its World Premiere at FrightFest on August 24th. Starring Grayson Gwaze as Zach, a horror-obsessed teen who gets a job at his cousin’s infamous scare attraction, the film quickly escalates when real bodies start piling up—and the killer might be closer than anyone thinks.
Today, the studio dropped an exclusive first look at the trailer, and it’s giving serious retro-slasher vibes with a modern, meta twist. Check it out below and stay tuned for more on The Haunted Forest as it stalks toward release.
Official Synopsis:

Zach is a horror-movie junkie who’d rather sketch gruesome comic book panels than focus in class. So when his cousin Mark offers him a gig at the legendary Haunted Forest, Zach’s dream job becomes reality. On his first night, he meets Sarah, a talented and mysterious makeup artist, and Jacko, a veteran haunt worker who quickly becomes his mentor.
But the dream soon turns into a waking nightmare when Jacko is found dead inside the attraction—and what was once a playground of monsters, fog, and fake blood becomes the site of a real-life killing spree. As Zach investigates, he starts to realize the horrors inside the Forest might not be confined to fiction.
