This Friday, Shudder unleashes Dark Match, the cult wrestling thriller from director Lowell Dean. Starring Chris Jericho, the film follows a struggling wrestling promotion that lands a high-stakes opportunity—competing in a series of dark matches under the command of their enigmatic and maniacal host, played by Jericho himself.
Our full review drops tomorrow, but to get you hyped for the pro-wrestling madness, Shudder has released two new clips. The first, Welcome to Paradise, introduces the wrestlers as they arrive at what appears to be a wild party, only to be greeted by their mysterious host, setting the tone for the chaos ahead. The second clip features Steven Ogg describing a surreal Fever Dream in which he wrestles his greatest nemesis—a fitting preview of the film’s twisted, nightmarish atmosphere.
