Halloween Horror Nights Honors Ozzy Osbourne with New ‘Prince of Darkness’ Haunted Houses at Universal Orlando and Hollywood
Halloween Horror Nights will celebrate the legacy of heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne this fall with an all-original haunted house inspired by his legendary solo career. Titled Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness, the new experience will debut at Universal Orlando Resort beginning August 28 and Universal Studios Hollywood beginning September 3.
Created as a living horror movie, the haunted house takes guests on a journey through more than four decades of Ozzy Osbourne’s music and imagery. Visitors will board the legendary “Crazy Train” and travel through scenes inspired by some of the musician’s most recognizable albums, blending supernatural horror with the dark visuals that helped define his career.
The experience features music from Osbourne’s solo catalog, including Blizzard of Ozz (1980), Diary of a Madman (1981), Bark at the Moon (1983), No More Tears (1991), Scream (2010), and Ordinary Man (2020).
Sharon and Jack Osbourne said the haunted house reflects Ozzy’s creative spirit and passion for giving fans new ways to experience his work.
“Ozzy never stopped pushing boundaries, and he loved anything that gave fans a new way to experience his music and the worlds he created. Halloween Horror Nights has done an incredible job bringing that spirit to life. Walking through these haunted houses, you’ll recognize so many moments inspired by his music and imagination. It’s a wonderful tribute to Ozzy, and we hope fans have as much fun experiencing it as he would have had seeing it come together.”
At Universal Studios Hollywood, guests begin their journey in Birmingham, England, where John Michael “Ozzy” Osbourne grew up. From there, the haunted house traces his evolution through iconic moments of his career, including scenes inspired by “Crazy Train,” the Osbourne Asylum from Diary of a Madman, and appearances by multiple versions of Ozzy, including Madman Ozzy, Werewolf Ozzy, and the legendary Prince of Darkness persona.
John Murdy, Executive Producer of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, said the attraction pays tribute to the artist’s influence on both music and horror.
“Ozzy Osbourne didn’t just help define heavy metal. He created a cultural phenomenon that has influenced generations of music, art and horror. We previously had the privilege of collaborating with Ozzy and Black Sabbath, and this new haunted house is an opportunity to honor his extraordinary solo career. Inspired by all 13 of his albums, guests will journey through the dark, surreal worlds that fueled his music and cemented his legacy as the one and only Prince of Darkness.”
At Universal Orlando Resort, the experience offers a different interpretation of Osbourne’s legacy. Guests will explore ancient ruins and ominous dungeons before boarding the Crazy Train for a surreal journey inspired by album artwork from Diary of a Madman, Bark at the Moon, The Ultimate Sin, and Black Rain. The attraction focuses on the darker themes and imagery that characterized the later years of his solo career.
Mike Aiello, Senior Director of Entertainment Creative Development at Universal Orlando Resort, said the creative team worked closely with the Osbourne family to ensure the attraction remained authentic.

It was important for us to create an authentic experience that brings Ozzy’s creativity and personality to life in an eerily immersive new way. Fans will discover so many meaningful details, including a few Easter eggs, as they navigate memorable dark and twisted moments inspired by his iconic musical career.”
Universal has also released a new collection of limited-edition merchandise inspired by the haunted houses, including a themed T-shirt and an Ozzy acrylic figure compatible with the separately sold Infernal Carnival collectible display. The merchandise is available now at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood, with additional items launching July 30 on shopUniversal.com.
Halloween Horror Nights runs select nights from August 28 through November 1 at Universal Orlando Resort and from September 3 through November 1 at Universal Studios Hollywood. Tickets, including Frequent Fear Pass options, are on sale now.
