“The only cure is waking up.”
From director Shuja Paul comes Healing Towers, a surreal and unsettling indie horror thriller that blends psychological breakdown with physical terror. It’s a film that plays like a fever dream you can’t wake up from—where the lines between memory, madness, and murder blur beyond recognition.
Andrew Keegan stars as a detective desperately searching for his missing daughter. His investigation leads him to a remote psychiatric facility known as Healing Towers, where the patients are subjected to an experimental dream therapy program created by a deranged psychiatrist. But this isn’t therapy—it’s torment. Here, patients are forced to live out their darkest fantasies on innocent victims, all under the illusion of healing.
Also starring William McNamara and Nikki Leigh, the film channels the nightmarish atmosphere of ’90s horror-thrillers like Nightwatch and The Cell, while carving its own path with disturbing imagery and a dream logic that feels both intimate and monstrous.
As the detective is drawn deeper into the facility’s warped practices, he discovers that waking up might not be an option—because some dreams refuse to end. The result is a tense, dread-fueled dive into trauma, repression, and control masquerading as care.
