By Travis Brown | Horror Movies Uncut

Let’s just get this out the way first — this ain’t about paywalls.

This is about growing the Horror Movies Uncut community in a way we’ve never done before. For the first time since I launched HMU back in 2008, we’re opening up the doors for you to be part of what we’re building — with more ways to connect, support, and get something back in return.

Yeah, we finally did it.

Patreon.com/HorrorMoviesUncut is live. And here’s why it matters.

What’s This All About?

Over the past year, I’ve been traveling to more festivals, doing more interviews, and stepping deeper into podcasting, video, reviews, and all the editorial work we do at HMU and The Final Cut.

But there’s always been a limit to what we could share.

Patreon lets us break that open.

We want to show you what really happens behind the scenes — at the screenings, in the green rooms, in the quiet hallway moments when filmmakers tell you something off-the-record, and the chaos of trying to record a podcast at midnight after 7 films and 4 interviews.

You’ll find editorials, industry insights, personal blogs, and uncut festival coverage you can’t find on the main site. The kind of stuff that’s got a little more bite, a little more truth, and a lot more me in it.

What’s On There Right Now?

Two of our newest posts already set the tone for what this space is gonna be:

  • “Emo’s Not Dead — Why Supernatural Horror Is About To Come Back Strong”

A trend forecast straight from my gut: gothic romance, emo-core vibes, and why society’s burnout on trauma-core horror is going to lead us right back into spirits, folklore, and doomed love stories.

  • “How To Write a Horror Movies Uncut Review”

Not just a breakdown — this is me putting young writers on game. How I built HMU, how I review films, and how you can get into the room (and stay in the room) when access isn’t handed to you.

If you’re a fan, a creator, a critic, or just someone who loves horror culture — this is where you’ll get the uncensored stuff.

What You’ll Get

We’ve set up three tiers to start:

  • $3/month – The Eyeball Tier

Basic access to all public posts, select editorial features, and occasional behind-the-scenes drops.

  • $5/month – The Knife Tier

Everything from the Eyeball Tier, plus early access to The Final Cut episodes, personal blogs, audio B-roll from festivals, and private livestream invites.

  • $10/month – The Skull Tier

All of the above, PLUS exclusive video commentary, merch discounts, horror screening invites, ticket giveaways, city-based meetups (LA, STL, Austin, NYC, Chicago), and bonus short stories + scripts from my writing vault.

Why Now? Why Us?

There are a lot of horror outlets. But very few like us.

We’ve always been about the weird ones.

The indie darlings.

The loudmouthed punks who got into movies from the back of the video store, not the top of the studio chain.

I started HMU out of love — and stubbornness. I didn’t want to wait for someone to “let me in.” I just wanted to talk to the people who made the films that raised me. That still hasn’t changed.

Now, we’re finally making space to invite you in too.

So check us out. Share the page. Hit subscribe if the vibes are right.

Even a single visit means a lot.

We’re just getting started.

Living with chronic pain is tough, and Dr. Faizan Hassan completely understands that. As a consultant physiotherapist, he has helped thousands of people recover from frozen shoulders, sciatica, and post-surgery struggles. His approach is simple: understand the patient, find the exact cause of the pain, and treat it effectively. If you are looking for a doctor who actually listens and delivers results, you are in the right place.
