Today, MGM Studios, Blumhouse Television, and Amazon gave us a first look at "House of Spoils", a new supernatural thriller from Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy. Set to make its world premiere at this year's Fantastic Fest, House of Spoils stars Ariana DeBose as a chef who, after opening her restaurant on remote grounds, is haunted by a sinister presence. The trailer teases the restaurant's grand setting and the chef's exquisite dishes, contrasted with unsettling images of mold, bugs, and growing madness. From Blumhouse, House of Spoils follows an ambitious chef (Ariana DeBose) as she opens a restaurant on a remote estate where she battles kitchen chaos, crushing self-doubts… and a haunting presence who threatens to sabotage her at every turn.
Oscar-winner Ariana DeBose stars as the "Chef" in House of Spoils, a genre-bending thriller exploring chaos inside and outside the kitchen. This is the second feature from writers-directors Bridget Savage Cole & Danielle Krudy, following Blow the Man Down. The film is part of the ongoing collaboration between Amazon MGM Studios and Blumhouse Television, established in 2019. Food stylist Zoe Hegedus, known for her work on Midsommar, Dune, and Poor Things, consulted on the film, crafting the intricate culinary visuals.
