Hysteria Fest to Host One-Night Screening of Revenge as Fundraiser for Missouri Abortion Fund
Our friends—and literal neighbors—at Hysteria Fest are gearing up for a special one-night screening of Coralie Fargeat’s breakout thriller Revenge on Wednesday, April 24th at 7 PM at the Arkadin Cinema in St. Louis. Not only is this a chance to revisit one of the most blistering feminist action-horrors of the last decade, it’s also a fundraiser for the Missouri Abortion Fund, with proceeds supporting reproductive rights and abortion access across the state.
This night of blood-soaked catharsis also marks the official launch of badge presales for Hysteria Fest 2025, running July 10–13—a summer horror event known for its mix of indie premieres, Canadian genre bangers, outdoor horror prom vibes, and all-night mayhem.
Before she delivered the body horror firestorm that is The Substance, Fargeat made waves with Revenge (2017), a hyper-stylized, high-octane survival flick about a woman left for dead in the desert who rises—violently—from the ashes. If it’s not already on your must-watch list, fix that. It’s brutal, beautiful, and feminist as hell.
“Revenge is a film about reclaiming power,” says Hysteria Fest director Paul Hibbard. “That spirit aligns perfectly with the mission of the Missouri Abortion Fund, and we’re honored to use this screening as a way to uplift and support their critical work.”
Attendees will be the first to access badges for this year’s fest. Expect four packed days of horror films, special guests, live performances, afterparties, and the return of the Horror Prom—a fan favorite.
