International debut for off the wall gore filled Indonesian horror "The Draft" at Fantastic Fest 2024
THE DRAFT - International Premiere
If you combined elements of "Cabin in the Woods," "Evil Dead," and a sci-fi slasher with a full-on gore fest, you'd get something like Yusron Fuadi's "The Draft," originally titled "Setan Alas!" (even there, the obsession with Beelzebub continues). The film follows a group of five characters who embody traditional horror tropes and stereotypes, yet it might be one of the most untraditional horror films around. "The Draft" will have its international premiere at Fantastic Fest, so be sure to check out the screening details and watch the intense trailer.
The plot centers on five college students who decide to spend their weekend at a remote villa. What begins as a fun getaway quickly turns into a nightmare when they find themselves facing a powerful dark force. The film cleverly subverts familiar horror tropes, offering a fresh and original twist on the classic cabin-in-the-woods horror story.
