Jon Abrahams to Lead Psychological Thriller Fractured Alongside Felissa Rose and Lew Temple

A new psychological thriller is taking shape in Ohio as Fractured, the latest feature from director Sage O’Bryant, prepares to begin production this spring. The film will be led by Jon Abrahams, known for his role in Scary Movie, alongside genre mainstays Felissa Rose and Lew Temple.

Abrahams steps into the role of Arthur Thorne, a man defined by anxiety and a past he hasn’t been able to outrun. As his mental state begins to deteriorate, the boundaries between perception and reality grow increasingly unstable. What begins as a search for control quickly shifts into something far more unsettling when his therapist, Dr. Sharma—played by Rose—appears to possess an intimate and unnerving understanding of his deepest fears.

That tension escalates further under the presence of Pendergast, a domineering figure portrayed by Temple, whose influence adds pressure to an already fractured psyche. As Arthur digs deeper, the possibility emerges that his unraveling may not be entirely his own. The film positions itself within familiar psychological territory, but with an added layer of paranoia, suggesting manipulation rather than mere instability. What Arthur uncovers points toward something constructed, something intentional, and ultimately, something dangerous.

Fractured is written by Eric Swinderman, whose previous work includes Made in Cleveland and The Enormity of Life, projects that balanced character-driven storytelling with tonal unpredictability. Swinderman also produces alongside Emelia Sherin and O’Bryant under the Anhedonia Pictures banner, with Sherin appearing in the film as well. Executive producers include Abrahams, Matthew James, and Shera Piper.

The combination of Abrahams’ grounded presence with Rose and Temple’s established genre credibility positions Fractured as a project that leans into both psychological tension and character-driven unease. With production set in Ohio, the film also continues a growing trend of regionally rooted genre filmmaking that prioritizes atmosphere and controlled scale over spectacle.

As details continue to emerge, Fractured signals a return to contained, performance-focused thrillers—films where the horror isn’t just external, but embedded within the mind itself.
