DARK SKY & YELLOW VEIL PICTURES UNLEASH SUPERNATURAL GRIEF TRIP LILLY LIVES ALONE THIS AUGUST
We mentioned it a while back on The Final Cut, but now it’s official—Martin Melnick’s dizzying fever dream Lilly Lives Alone is coming to screens, and it’s every bit as unhinged and unsettling as we hoped.
Dark Sky Films, in partnership with Yellow Veil Pictures, is set to release the film in limited theaters and on VOD starting August 22. Anchored by haunting performances from Shannon Beeby and Ryan Jonze, the film also features a chilling turn by Re-Animator legend Jeffrey Combs.
Synopsis:
Ten years ago, Lilly (Beeby) suffered the kind of trauma that fractures a soul—the sudden death of her young daughter. What followed was a decade of spiraling grief, childhood trauma resurfacing, and empty hookups trying to fill an unfillable void.
Her latest fling, Jed (Jonze), arrives during a particularly vulnerable time: the 10-year anniversary of her daughter’s death. As Lilly plunges deeper into a haze of pills and alcohol, the cracks in her reality begin to widen. She’s haunted by visions she can’t explain—are they the product of her unraveling mind, or something far more sinister?
The line between grief and the supernatural begins to blur, and as Lilly spirals, she drags Jed into her dark, unspeakable world.
A raw, nightmarish meditation on trauma, memory, and loss, Lilly Lives Alone dares to ask what happens when the past refuses to stay buried.
Catch it August 22 in select theaters and on VOD.

I've always loved watching movies, especially psychological horrors like this one. I also enjoy playing my favorite game, basketball legends, in my spare time. The competitive thrill I feel in that game is sometimes even more intense when combined with a movie. Lilly Lives Alone will definitely be one of the movies I want to watch this summer.
