Following its acclaimed world premiere at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival and a celebrated nationwide release, Mike Flanagan’s The Life of Chuck is set to return to theaters for a one-night special engagement on October 1.
Audiences will not only get the chance to experience the film again on the big screen but will also be treated to an exclusive conversation with Flanagan and legendary actor Mark Hamill. The discussion will explore the making of the film, its emotional depth, and the enduring impact of Stephen King’s original short story.
Tickets are available starting today, September 24, through major ticketing platforms and participating theaters. AMC locations will present the film in Dolby, while Regal will screen in RPX.
Directed by Flanagan (Doctor Sleep, The Haunting of Hill House), The Life of Chuck adapts King’s genre-defying tale of Charles “Chuck” Krantz, a man whose life story reveals the wonder of love, the weight of loss, and the unexpected beauty found in fleeting moments.
The ensemble cast includes Tom Hiddleston, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Benjamin Pajak, Jacob Tremblay, and Hamill. Critics have praised the film as “one of the most profoundly beautiful films ever,” cementing its place as one of Flanagan’s most ambitious works to date.
For those who missed its initial run — or for fans eager to revisit its emotional sweep — October 1 offers a rare opportunity to rediscover The Life of Chuck on the big screen.
