Neon Invades Comic-Con 2025 with the “Next Wave of Horror”
Neon is bringing the horror to San Diego Comic-Con 2025 with a major takeover. As revealed on this morning’s episode of The Final Cut, the indie powerhouse behind Longlegs will host a panel titled “Next Wave of Horror” on Friday, July 25th, promising sneak peeks, exclusive footage, and live appearances from some of horror’s most exciting creators and stars.
Neon has officially cemented its place alongside superhero juggernauts, trading capes for creep-outs. Their Hall H panel will spotlight upcoming titles, including Osgood Perkins’ Keeper, the surreal horror-romance Together starring Alison Brie and Dave Franco, and the highly anticipated directorial debut of YouTube critic Chris Stuckmann with his found footage shocker Shelby Oaks.
Coming off the global success of Longlegs, which grossed over $100 million, Neon is doubling down on original, boundary-pushing horror. Here’s what to expect from the studio’s SDCC slate:
Together
(In Theaters July 30)
Written and directed by Michael Shanks, Together blends body horror with heartbreak, featuring unforgettable performances by Dave Franco and Alison Brie. After moving to the countryside to reboot their fractured relationship, Tim and Millie encounter a mysterious force that threatens to unravel not only their bond, but their very bodies. The film has stunned festival audiences and holds a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Shelby Oaks
(In Theaters October 3)
Chris Stuckmann makes his feature debut with Shelby Oaks, a Kickstarter success story that has horror fans buzzing. The film follows a woman unraveling the truth about her missing sister and the imaginary demon from their childhood that may not be so imaginary after all. Critics are already calling it “creepy as hell” and “one of the best horror debuts in years.”
Keeper
(Fall 2025)
NEON continues its collaboration with Osgood Perkins (The Blackcoat’s Daughter, Longlegs) with the mind-bending Keeper, starring Tatiana Maslany and Rossif Sutherland. A sinister, dread-filled chamber piece, the film follows a couple’s isolated cabin trip that unearths horrors from the past. Fans will also be able to meet Perkins in person during a signing of the limited edition The Monkey “Bloody Variant” collector figurine at Unbox Industries from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM PT on Friday.
Neon promises this panel will be an unforgettable celebration of horror’s next generation—and proof that the studio has no plans of slowing down.
