Breaking Glass Pictures Sets VOD Release for Psychological Thriller Nesting on May 29
A festival standout is making its way to digital platforms as Breaking Glass Pictures announces the North American release of Nesting, the psychological thriller from Chloé Cinq-Mars, arriving on VOD May 29, 2026.
Following a strong festival run, Nesting built momentum across the circuit after premiering at the Fantasia Film Festival, where Cinq-Mars earned the Best Director Award in 2025. The film continued with screenings at Fantastic Fest, Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, Vancouver International Film Festival, and others.
The story centers on Pénélope, played by Rose-Marie Perreault, a new mother navigating postpartum depression while dealing with the emotional aftermath of her sister’s death. As sleep deprivation intensifies, her sense of reality begins to fracture, leading to a growing sense of paranoia and instability.
The film positions its horror within internal experience rather than external threat, focusing on perception, memory, and psychological strain. Its structure builds around the gradual collapse of boundaries between what is real and what is imagined, using atmosphere and character perspective to drive tension.
The cast also includes Simon Landry-Desy, Saladin Dellers, Marie Bélanger, and Alex Lauzon.
Ahead of its VOD debut, Nesting will receive a one-night theatrical screening on May 26 at select Alamo Drafthouse Cinema locations across the U.S., offering audiences an early look before its wider digital release.
Positioned within the psychological horror space, Nesting focuses on themes of isolation, grief, and identity, presenting its narrative through a character-driven lens rather than traditional genre mechanics.
Nesting arrives on VOD May 29.
