CLASH Is Coming to Netflix: Barbarians, Battles, and Mustaches Galore

Sound the war horns and prep your elixir—Supercell’s iconic universe is officially making the leap from your phone screen to your Netflix queue. That’s right, Clash of Clans and Clash Royale are getting the full animated series treatment in a brand-new Netflix original, currently in pre-production.

Titled simply CLASH, the series promises to build on the explosive energy of the global gaming phenomenon with a comedic and action-heavy spin. At its core? A well-meaning but overmatched Barbarian who must rally a ragtag group of misfits to protect their village and navigate the truly ridiculous politics of medieval fantasy warfare.

And if you’ve ever played Clash, you already know—this world is chaos incarnate, with plenty of heart (and more than a few explosions).

Longtime Clash collaborator Fletcher Moules (Entergalactic, Agent Elvis) will serve as showrunner, bringing his signature visual energy and irreverent tone to the series. Moules is no stranger to this world—he directed the original Clash of Clans animated shorts that earned hundreds of millions of views across Supercell’s YouTube platforms.

Joining him is head writer Ron Weiner, whose comedy credentials speak for themselves (Futurama, 30 Rock, Silicon Valley, Arrested Development). Translation: this show’s going to be hilarious and unhinged.

Animation duties fall to Vancouver-based ICON Creative Studio, ensuring the visual flair Clash fans have come to expect.

Since its mobile launch in 2012, Clash of Clans has become a genre-defining titan. Clash Royale followed in 2016 and only amplified the madness. Combined, the franchise has seen 4 billion+ downloads and over 180 billion hours of gameplay worldwide. Let that sink in.

This isn’t just a mobile game adaptation—it’s one of the most played game worlds in history finally getting the animated series its fans have been begging for.

The streaming giant is no stranger to ambitious animated projects. CLASH joins an elite lineup including Arcane, Blue Eye Samurai, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, Sonic Prime, and the upcoming Stranger Things: Tales from ‘85. With the Netflix machine behind it, CLASH is poised to go full Goblin-mode in the best possible way.

Curtis Lelash, Head of Film & TV at Supercell:

“Think epic battles, immaculate Barbarian mustaches, and the kind of humor our players know and love… They’ve been asking for a Clash series forever. It’s happening!”

John Derderian, VP of Animated Series at Netflix:

“CLASH is filled with humor, action, and unforgettable characters. We’re bringing all the fun, chaos, and spirit of the world of Clash to life in a whole new way.”

We’ll have more details soon—including character reveals, trailers, and maybe a few Easter eggs for longtime fans. Until then, head over to Clash of Clans and Clash Royale’s YouTube pages to see how the dev teams are reacting.
