But now we know the real reason—he’s celebrating the 25th anniversary of one of his genre classics, Stir of Echoes! To mark the occasion, Lionsgate is releasing a special Steelbook 4K Blu-ray edition on December 10th.
In Stir of Echoes, Bacon stars as Tom Witzky, a man who, after being hypnotized at a party, starts hearing voices and seeing visions that lead him to an unsolved death in his neighborhood. Directed by David Koepp, the film also features Kathryn Erbe, Illeana Douglas, and Kevin Dunn.

Tom Witzky (Kevin Bacon) is a blue-collar worker, a family man, the most ordinary guy in the world...who is about to be plunged into a shattering encounter with another world.
