Supernatural Horror Film ‘RECLUSE’ Set for World Premiere at Tribeca
RECLUSE will make its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival this June as part of the festival’s Escape from Tribeca lineup.
Written and directed by Henry Chaisson, the film stars Sasha Frolova, Xander Berkeley, Toby Poser, Mia Vallet, Kimball Farley, and Frankie Seratch.
According to the official synopsis, the story follows Joan after she returns to her childhood home to care for her bedridden father. Once back inside the isolated house, she is forced to confront long-buried family trauma alongside a growing supernatural presence tied directly to the home itself.
The film appears positioned firmly within psychological and supernatural horror territory, combining family tension, isolation, and emotional trauma with a malevolent unseen force that increasingly manifests around Joan as the story progresses.
The project is produced by Josh Lobo, Gillian Cooper, Alex Dandino, Henry Chaisson, and Katharina Windemuth.
The film’s premiere schedule at Tribeca includes:
World Premiere: Thursday, June 4 at 9:15 PM
Second Screening: Saturday, June 6 at 9:00 PM
Third Screening: Thursday, June 11 at 9:00 PM
All screenings will take place at Village East by Angelika.
Escape from Tribeca continues serving as one of the festival’s primary destinations for horror, thriller, cult, and genre-focused cinema, frequently spotlighting emerging filmmakers and psychologically driven projects.
With its focus on haunted family dynamics, isolation, and psychological deterioration, RECLUSE joins a growing wave of independent horror films exploring grief and generational trauma through supernatural frameworks.
The film premieres June 4 at Tribeca.
