On Thursday, March 14, A24 held the first IMAX Screening for the upcoming Alex Garland film CIVIL WAR. The film screened in IMAX at The Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin, Texas, with a Q&A and reception immediately following.

Written and directed by Garland, CIVIL WAR is a thought-provoking and propulsive thriller starring Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Cailee Spaeny, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Sonoya Mizuno, and Nick Offerman.
Garland, Dunst, Moura, and Spaeny were in attendance alongside production designer Caty Maxey, and producers Allon Reich and Gregory Goodman. Other notable attendees included Xochitl Gomez, Daniel Kwan, and Daniel Schienert.
Highly anticipated since its first trailer drop in December 2023, CIVIL WAR had its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival earlier in the evening.
From filmmaker Alex Garland comes a journey across a dystopian future America, following a team of military-embedded journalists as they race against time to reach DC before rebel factions descend upon the White House.
