Teaser Trailer Debuts for Forbidden Fruits, Starring Lili Reinhart, Lola Tung, Victoria Pedretti, and Alexandra Shipp
The first teaser trailer has arrived for Forbidden Fruits, the new thriller from director Meredith Alloway, featuring a cast stacked with familiar faces: Lili Reinhart, Lola Tung, Victoria Pedretti, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Chamberlain, and Gabrielle Union. The film centers on a group of Free Eden mall employees whose after-hours “sisterhood” is far more dangerous than it appears.
Reinhart plays Apple, a seemingly polished employee who secretly runs a witchy femme cult beneath the store once the gates close. She leads fellow “fruits” Cherry and Fig in rituals that blend empowerment with control — a dynamic that starts to fracture when new hire Pumpkin joins the team. Pumpkin’s arrival exposes tensions the group can no longer mask, pushing each woman to confront the toxicity inside their dynamic before it spirals into violence.
The teaser positions the film as a sharp, stylized dive into rivalries, feminine power, and performance, with a visual tone that mixes mall-goth, neon gloss, and cult aesthetics. The lineup of characters feels intentionally heightened, mirroring the film’s blend of dark comedy and genre elements. There’s a wink of Heathers in the tone, mixed with the aesthetics of BDSM culture and the social aggression of a modern-day mean-girl battleground.
Reinhart, Tung, Pedretti, and Shipp appear to be leaning into roles that embrace their most devious screen personas, and the film seems prepared to push those dynamics to the edge. The teaser hints at a story that starts with sisterhood but ends in blood, laying out the power struggles and fractures within the group before anything supernatural even hits the surface.
Forbidden Fruits positions itself as one of the more confrontational, stylized genre entries coming up, with a cast built to command attention and a concept that blends cult horror with mall-culture satire. More details on release plans are expected soon.
Free Eden employee Apple secretly runs a witchy femme cult in the basement of the mall store after hours - with fellow fruits Cherry and Fig. But when new hire Pumpkin challenges their performative sisterhood, the women are forced to face their own poisons or succumb to a bloody fate.
