In this latest peek from Brainstorm Media’s upcoming thriller Unit 234, things get uncomfortably close—literally and emotionally.
Isabelle Fuhrman (Orphan: First Kill) returns to the survival thriller spotlight as Laurie, the unassuming manager of a Florida storage facility suddenly thrust into a life-or-death scenario. In the just-released clip, Laurie desperately navigates the dim corridors of the warehouse as she tries to escape a crew of armed invaders looking for something worth killing over. But her narrow path out is blocked by Clayton (Jack Huston), whose presence ratchets up the film’s already thick tension. Is he a savior or just another threat?
This brief but potent scene gives us a taste of Unit 234’s tight-space paranoia and kinetic pacing. Directed by Andy Tennant (Hitch, Sweet Home Alabama), the film promises a throwback vibe to late-night thrillers with a modern survivalist edge. And while genre legend Don Johnson looms in the background as the presumed mastermind, it’s Fuhrman’s grounded, gritty performance that gives Unit 234 its pulse.
As revealed in our [HMU review], the film works best when it’s focused on the claustrophobic tension and fight-or-flight mechanics. The clip proves it knows how to stretch every inch of its limited setting for maximum anxiety. For fans of single-location thrillers like Panic Room or Phone Booth, this one’s worth watching out for.
Unit 234 hits select theaters and on-demand May 9 from Brainstorm Media. Check out the clip now and let us know—are you getting out of that storage unit alive?
