TIFF 2025: THE NAPA BOYS Crash the Midnight Madness Lineup

A group of wine-splashed men in comic tees stumble through a vineyard at sunset, led by a cloaked figure with glowing wine glasses.
Comics, Cult Wine, and a Bizarre Brotherhood Return for One Last Pour

The wine-stained legend of The Napa Boys returns—this time at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival in the Midnight Madness section, and if you know the name, you already know: things are about to get absolutely fermented.

Premiering Friday, September 12 at 11:59 PM at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, this world premiere is the long-awaited next chapter (and possibly last?) in the Napa Boys canon. What started as a comic book gag has become a full-blown oeno-bromance saga—and we’re fully onboard.

What’s It About?

Jack Jr., Miles Jr., and the rest of the gang are back and wine-wasted as ever—this time on a final mission guided by the elusive, almost mythic figure known as “The Sommelier.” But things take a twist when Puck, a die-hard fan of The Napa Boys comics, joins the group—bringing his own flavor of chaos and charm. As the crew gets deeper into their journey, they’ll confront grief, aging friendships, and the crushing realization that maybe life isn’t just about the next glass.

It’s equal parts wine-soaked road movie, millennial malaise dramedy, and offbeat ensemble chaos, brought to you by creators Nick Corirossi and Armen Weitzman, who also star alongside a stacked, absurdly diverse cast: Steve Agee, Sarah Ramos, Jamar Neighbors, Chloe Cherry, Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes, Natasha Leggero, Riki Lindhome, Harley Quinn-Smith, and a chef’s kiss handful more.

With Jerrod Carmichael on board as executive producer, The Napa Boys might be silly, but it’s not stupid—expect absurdist philosophy, emotional gut-punches, and just enough self-aware bro humor to pull it off.

MIDNIGHT MADNESS ENERGY

Midnight Madness is no stranger to wild entries, but The Napa Boys feels like a unicorn: a film that doesn’t just poke fun at bro culture and wine snobbery—it lives in it, bathes in it, and still manages to say something true about loss and friendship.

If you’ve ever screamed “WINE ME, BRO” at 2 AM in a hotel bathtub, this film’s for you.
