Astra Film Awards 2026 Set to Honor Elle Fanning, Mark Hamill, Zoey Deutch, Wagner Moura, and Myron Kerstein

The 2026 Astra Film Awards spotlight a diverse slate of performers and creators shaping modern cinema.

The Hollywood Creative Alliance has locked in its final slate of honorees for the 2026 Astra Film Awards, with Elle Fanning, Mark Hamill, Myron Kerstein, Zoey Deutch, and Wagner Moura set to receive top honors at the ceremony on January 9, 2026.

The Astra Film Awards will take place at the Sofitel Beverly Hills Hotel and will be livestreamed across multiple platforms, including the official Astra Awards YouTube channel, Instagram, X, and Knekt.tv. An exclusive pre-show will stream on Knekt.tv and the Astra Awards Instagram account, offering interviews with honorees, nominees, and winners ahead of the ceremony. LA Magazine returns as the official media partner.

The Hollywood Creative Alliance also confirmed that Omar Benson Miller will host the 2026 event. Miller, a two-time NAACP Image Award nominee, is known for his work on HBO’s Ballers, CBS’ The Unicorn, and Apple TV+’s The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey. In 2025, he appeared in Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, a film that earned multiple Astra nominations including Best Motion Picture – Drama.

This year’s ceremony again partners with Petco Love, which will host an on-site pet adoption event. Since its founding in 1999, Petco Love has invested more than $430 million in lifesaving efforts and helped place over 7.1 million pets into loving homes.

Among the honorees, Hamill will receive the Excellence in Artistry Award, recognizing a career that spans film, television, theater, and voice acting. Best known globally for his portrayal of Luke Skywalker, Hamill has also become definitive as the voice of the Joker across animation and video games, while continuing to deliver acclaimed performances in projects ranging from The Fall of the House of Usher to The Life of Chuck.

Fanning will be presented with the Vanguard Award, honoring her bold career choices and continued evolution as both an actress and producer. Her recent work includes Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value, which premiered at Cannes, and Predator: Badlands, where she delivered dual performances.

Kerstein is set to receive the Artisan Achievement Award for his work in film editing, most notably his long-running collaboration with director Jon M. Chu and his Oscar-nominated work on Wicked – Part 1. His career also includes tick, tick…BOOM!, Crazy Rich Asians, and In the Heights.

Moura will be honored with the Acting Achievement Award following a string of globally acclaimed performances, including his recent turn in The Secret Agent and his landmark Cannes Best Actor win. His career continues to bridge international cinema, television, and directing.
