The new star-studded audio adaptation of Grim Death and Bill the Electrocuted Criminal arrives on Bloody Disgusting.

Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting are expanding their genre empire once again—this time through the world of prestige audio horror. Today the companies unveiled their new partnership with Echoverse, kicking off with the debut of Grim Death and Bill The Electrocuted Criminal, a star-studded audio adaptation of the 2017 illustrated novel from NYT bestselling author Thomas E. Sniegoski and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola.

Now streaming on the Bloody Disgusting channel through the Cineverse Podcast Network, Grim Death and Bill The Electrocuted Criminal introduces listeners to Bentley, a man who makes an unholy bargain with Death himself. To free his parents from purgatory, Bentley becomes an avenging force for those murdered before their time. His missions are anything but clean, and he’s aided—or hindered—by a sharp-tongued butler Pym, a fearless journalist named Gwen, and a nearly-dead sidekick, Bill. It’s a supernatural noir with a wicked comic streak, and it fits right into the evolving horror landscape Cineverse has been curating through Bloody Disgusting.

The cast behind this audio adaptation is stacked with talent: Cory Michael Smith (Gotham), Emmy winner Merritt Wever (Severance), Zeljko Ivanek (Damages), William Fichtner (The Perfect Storm), Tony Award winner André De Shields (Hadestown), John Carroll Lynch (American Horror Story), and Stephen Tobolowsky (Groundhog Day). Tony-nominated director Anne Kauffman helms the series, delivering the kind of performance-driven horror only audio can pull off.

Echoverse President Mark Stern celebrated the collaboration, noting that Bloody Disgusting is “the perfect home” for Grim Death, and emphasizing that this release represents the first of many projects they plan to bring to Cineverse. BD founder Tom Owen echoed that sentiment, calling the partnership a major step in growing a network that already dominates the horror podcast charts.

And this is just the beginning. Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting revealed a loaded lineup of genre podcasts rolling out over the next several months—returning fan-favorites, new nightmares, and iconic expansions. From the much-loved Mayfair Watchers Society, coming back November 14, to the psychedelic hellscape of Wireland Ranch, to a Valentine’s Day supernatural romance titled Something’s Amiss at Juniper’s House, and even more undead terror with The Dead (co-produced with the George A. Romero Foundation), it’s clear BD is carving out the biggest horror audio slate anywhere.

If Grim Death and Bill The Electrocuted Criminal is the tone-setter for Cineverse’s upcoming audio universe, then listeners better buckle up. The future of horror podcasts looks unsettlingly bright—and Bloody Disgusting is ready to own the whole space.
