Repo! The Genetic Opera is receiving its first 4K Ultra HD release as Lionsgate prepares a new collector’s edition for October 13.
The cult rock-horror musical has been remastered in 4K with Dolby Vision, with the presentation approved by director Darren Lynn Bousman. The release will include 4K, Blu-ray, and Digital copies, along with newly produced bonus material and a selection of legacy features from earlier editions.
Set in a near future devastated by a worldwide epidemic of organ failure, Repo! The Genetic Opera follows the rise of GENECO, a biotechnology company that offers life-saving organ transplants to those who can afford them. Patients who fall behind on payments face a far more severe consequence when the company sends its Repo Man to reclaim the organs.
Directed by Darren Lynn Bousman and written by Darren Smith and Terrance Zdunich, the film stars Anthony Head, Alexa PenaVega, Paul Sorvino, and Sarah Brightman.

The new collector’s edition includes a 2026 audio commentary with Bousman, Smith, and Zdunich, along with the featurette Establishing Shot with Darren Lynn Bousman. The 4K disc will also include Repo! This Movie: The Anatomy of a Cult and Addicted to the Shadowcast.
Legacy material carries over the 2007 director and cast commentary and the 2007 director and crew commentary on both the 4K and Blu-ray discs. Blu-ray-only extras include deleted scenes with optional commentary by Paris Hilton and Bousman, select scene commentary, From Stage to Screen, video sing-alongs, webisode featurettes, the theatrical trailer, and a poster gallery.
The package will feature new artwork by Chuck Styles, a SteelBook, an APET O-card, illustrated discs, and four double-sided character cards.
Repo! The Genetic Opera arrives on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and Digital in a collector’s edition on October 13.
