Lionsgate Brings Sorority Row to 4K SteelBook This September

One of the late-2000s slasher revival’s most entertaining guilty pleasures is getting a premium upgrade this fall. Lionsgate has announced that Sorority Row will make its 4K UHD debut on September 15, arriving in a Limited Edition SteelBook alongside Blu-ray and Digital editions.

Originally released in 2009, Sorority Row put a modern spin on the classic campus slasher formula, combining college pranks, deadly secrets, and masked-killer mayhem into a stylish throwback that has steadily grown into a cult favorite among horror fans.

The film follows the sisters of Theta Pi at Rosman University—Cassidy (Briana Evigan), Chugs (Margo Harshman), Jessica (Leah Pipes), Ellie (Rumer Willis), and Claire (Jamie Chung)—who agree to keep quiet after a fraternity prank ends in the apparent death of one of their own, Megan (Audrina Patridge).

Months later, as graduation approaches, someone begins targeting the sorority sisters one by one. With their deadly secret threatening to surface, the women must uncover the identity of a ruthless killer before they all become victims.

Directed by Stewart Hendler from a screenplay by Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger, Sorority Row balances slick kills, mystery, and dark humor while paying homage to classic slashers of the 1980s.

The ensemble cast also includes Julian Morris, Matt Lanter, and legendary Star Wars icon Carrie Fisher, whose memorable supporting role has become one of the film’s standout performances.

The new Lionsgate Limited Edition 4K SteelBook marks the first time Sorority Row has been available in 4K Ultra HD, giving longtime fans another reason to revisit one of the more underrated entries from horror’s remake era.
