Watch Your Back Even in the Grave — “Bury Me When I’m Dead” Heads to Digital This July

If you’re craving emotionally heavy horror with a supernatural edge, Bury Me When I’m Dead should be on your radar. The haunting feature from writer/director Seabold Krebs lands on digital platforms July 18 via Vertical, and it’s bringing ghosts, guilt, and grief in full force.

Starring Devon Terrell, Charlotte Hope, and Makenzie Leigh, the story centers around Henry—a man torn between secrets and promises. After his wife Catherine is diagnosed with brain cancer, she makes one final request: to be buried in the remote forest near her childhood home. But when she dies suddenly, Henry—fearing the wrath of Catherine’s powerful father Gary—goes against her wishes and returns her body to the city.

That decision comes at a cost.

Henry’s guilt deepens when it’s revealed that he’s also been hiding an affair—and a pregnancy—with their close friend Rebecca. As the consequences of his betrayal mount, Henry’s world unravels, and eerie occurrences begin to suggest that Catherine’s spirit may not be resting in peace. Is it all in his head? Or has he truly awakened something from beyond?

With a rare story structure and bleak, brooding tone, Bury Me When I’m Dead explores what happens when the sins of the living are too heavy to bury. It’s an atmospheric, genre-blending thriller that’s as emotionally crushing as it is unsettling.
