SXSW 2026: He Bled Neon Teaser Drops Ahead of Drew Kirsch’s Neon-Soaked Crime Thriller Premiere

A neon-lit descent back into the criminal underworld is headed to South by Southwest.

XYZ Films has unveiled the first teaser trailer for He Bled Neon ahead of the film’s world premiere at the 2026 SXSW Film Festival. Directed by Drew Kirsch, the upcoming crime thriller promises a stylish, high-energy ride through the darker corners of Las Vegas.

The film stars Joe Cole, Rita Ora, Marshawn Lynch—also known to many fans as “Beast Mode”—alongside Ismael Cruz Cordova, Paul Wesley, and Josh Holloway.

He Bled Neon follows Ethan, a man who thought he had escaped the dangerous life he grew up in. Once a street kid surviving in Las Vegas, Ethan now lives comfortably in Los Angeles, engaged to his dream partner and working for her father’s real estate company.

But everything changes when a sudden message arrives.

When Ethan learns his brother has died from what appears to be an overdose, he returns home to Las Vegas—only to discover the circumstances surrounding the death may be far more sinister. As he digs deeper into the truth, the violent world he once escaped begins pulling him back in.

The teaser offers a quick but intense glimpse into the film’s slick visual style, blending neon-drenched cityscapes with explosive confrontations and fast-paced crime drama. The tone suggests a kinetic action thriller with echoes of the stylish criminal chaos often associated with Guy Ritchie, pairing sharp visuals with a gritty underworld narrative.

The film will debut in SXSW’s Narrative Spotlight section, where audiences will get the first look at Kirsch’s latest feature as part of the festival’s lineup of high-profile premieres.

With its stacked cast and neon-soaked aesthetic, He Bled Neon is shaping up to be one of the more intriguing genre-adjacent titles screening at SXSW this year.

For now, the teaser offers just enough of a taste to set the tone.

Expect more from He Bled Neon as SXSW approaches—and as the film moves closer to its eventual release.
