"Hell Hole" is the latest wild ride from the Adams Family—John Adams, Toby Poser, and their daughters Lulu and Zelda. Known for their eccentric and boundary-pushing filmmaking, the family doesn’t disappoint with this American-led fracking crew in Siberia gone horribly wrong.
The film follows a fracking crew working deep in the Siberian wilderness who stumble upon a parasitic monster buried beneath the earth. This creature starts taking over the bodies of the crew, creating a terrifying life form that jumps from person to person. The classic body-snatching paranoia sets in, but with a unique Adams Family twist.
What makes *Hell Hole* stand out is its commitment to old-school, practical effects. Fans of 70s and 80s creature features will appreciate the gritty, hands-on approach that modern horror often lacks. It’s a bloodier, more in-your-face experience than some of the Adams Family’s previous work—something we didn’t expect but thoroughly enjoyed. The film playfully nods to the tropes of paranoid sci-fi thrillers while simultaneously poking fun at them, making it both a homage and a fresh take.
At a brisk 92 minutes, Hell Hole is an easy and entertaining watch. While it doesn’t dive as deep as some of the Adams Family’s earlier films, that works in its favor. It’s a more straightforward monster movie, but with the quirky, outrageous flair that only this family can deliver. It’s a must-watch for fans of creature features and the Adams Family’s unique brand of horror.
Here at Horror Movies Uncut, we’re giving Hell Hole a solid 3 out of 5 stars. It’s not just another monster movie—it’s a bloody good time. Catch it on Shudder when it drops on August 23rd.
