High Fliers Films Acquires UK Rights to Suspense Horror Death Among the Pines

UK distributor High Fliers Films has secured the UK rights to the suspense horror thriller Death Among the Pines, continuing its partnership with Shepka Productions and Flickering Myth following the release of their 2025 gothic horror The Baby in the Basket.

Directed by Nathan Shepka (Dead Before They Wake), the film unfolds over the course of one tense, storm-lashed night inside a remote cottage in the Scottish countryside.

When a woman offers shelter to a mysterious stranger during a violent storm, the quiet isolation of the cottage is soon disrupted by the arrival of a police officer searching for an escaped criminal in the area. As suspicion begins to spread among the group, the situation quickly spirals into a deadly game of trust, paranoia, and survival.

Shepka also stars in the film alongside Nicolette McKeown (Mercy Falls), Stephen Kerr (Spoiling You), and Olly Bassi (Dick Dynamite: 1944).

The screenplay comes from Tom Jolliffe (Renegades, Cinderella’s Revenge), who also serves as producer alongside Shepka and Gary Collinson of Flickering Myth.

The acquisition further strengthens High Fliers Films’ focus on commercially driven UK genre cinema, with the company continuing to support independent horror and thriller productions emerging from the region.

While specific UK release details have yet to be announced, Death Among the Pines is currently available to watch in the United States through TVOD on Prime Video and AVOD via Tubi.

With its stormy setting, isolated location, and a cast of characters who may not be who they claim to be, Death Among the Pines looks poised to deliver a tightly wound suspense experience for horror and thriller fans alike.
