Hyeyeong Lee Is Deadlier Than Ever in The Old Woman with the Knife — Well Go USA Crime Thriller Hits Digital November 25

Hyeyeong Lee as Hornclaw in The Old Woman with the Knife, a Well Go USA action thriller about an aging assassin.
Hyeyeong Lee delivers a career-defining performance in Min Kyu-dong’s The Old Woman with the Knife, arriving November 25 from Well Go USA.

One of Korea’s most gripping new action thrillers is slicing its way to digital this fall. The Old Woman with the Knife, starring the legendary Hyeyeong Lee (In Front of Your Face, Sudden Change), lands on Digital, Blu-ray™, and DVD (Amazon exclusive) beginning November 25 from Well Go USA Entertainment — and it’s already one of our favorite action films of the year.

Directed by Min Kyu-dong (Memento Mori), The Old Woman with the Knife brings a rare mix of raw emotion and razor-edged violence to the genre. Lee plays Hornclaw, an aging assassin who has spent a lifetime cleaning up the streets — literally. But when she’s paired with a reckless young protégé named Bullfight (played by The Night Owl’s Kim Sung-cheol), her quiet efficiency begins to unravel. What starts as mentorship quickly becomes survival as Hornclaw learns that she’s become the next name on a hit list — and the blood on her hands may not be enough to protect her anymore.

The film also features powerhouse performances from Yeon Woo-jin (The Killers), Kim Moo-yul (Ballerina), and Shin Sia (The Witch: Part 2 – The Other One), rounding out an ensemble that keeps the tension simmering from start to finish.

Kinetic and brutal but grounded in humanity, The Old Woman with the Knife stands alongside Kill Boksoon and Ballerina as a new entry in Korea’s growing canon of female-led revenge thrillers. Director Min Kyu-dong blends sharp editing, claustrophobic set pieces, and character-driven storytelling to explore the cost of violence — and what it means to age in a profession built on death.

The Old Woman with the Knife arrives November 25 on Digital, Blu-ray™, and DVD (Amazon® Exclusive) from Well Go USA Entertainment.
