Ashton Chen Faces Iko Uwais in New ‘FISTS ON A PLANE: WINGS OF DREAD’ Trailer
Ashton Chen Battles Iko Uwais at 30,000 Feet in New ‘FISTS ON A PLANE: WINGS OF DREAD’ Trailer
Well Go USA Entertainment has released an all-new trailer for FISTS ON A PLANE: WINGS OF DREAD, an upcoming martial arts action thriller starring Ashton Chen and Iko Uwais. The high-altitude hijacking film arrives on Digital November 24, 2026, before making its streaming debut on Hi-YAH! December 4. The digital release will also include a new English-language dub.
Directed by Qin Pengfei and Ashton Chen, the film reunites the action filmmakers for a close-quarters martial arts thriller that combines Chinese kung fu with Indonesian silat fighting techniques. Chen also stars as Gu Chaoyang, a Chinese air marshal whose return trip from his honeymoon becomes a fight for survival when hijackers seize control of his flight.
With the aircraft traveling at 30,000 feet, Gu finds himself responsible for protecting the passengers against a group of heavily armed criminals led by a ruthless adversary portrayed by Uwais.
The confined setting forces Gu to rely on his martial arts training and tactical instincts as he confronts the hijackers in a series of increasingly dangerous encounters. With limited space to maneuver and no possibility of escape, the confrontation becomes a battle to regain control of the aircraft before the situation turns catastrophic.
Uwais, internationally recognized for his performances in THE RAID and THE RAID 2, takes on a villainous role opposite Chen. His involvement brings together two performers known for their extensive martial arts backgrounds and physically demanding action sequences.
Chen, whose credits include IP MAN 2 and BLADE OF FURY, also serves as co-director alongside Qin, whose previous projects include FIGHT AGAINST EVIL and EYE FOR AN EYE.
The collaboration emphasizes hand-to-hand combat within the restrictive environment of a passenger aircraft, incorporating the distinct fighting styles associated with both leading performers.
The supporting cast includes Qu Jingjing (TIBETAN RAIDERS), Nita Hsia Jo-Yen (ANACONDA), Hong Shuang (SECRET PURSUIT), Ren Tianye (BATTLEFIELD: FALL OF THE WORLD), Gao Yi (EYE FOR AN EYE), Huang Tao (CREATION OF THE GODS I: KINGDOM OF STORMS) and Liu Fengchao (THE BUTCHER'S BLADE).
The newly released trailer highlights the film's central confrontation between Chen and Uwais, alongside its combination of aerial suspense and close-range martial arts action.
Rather than relying on large-scale battle sequences, FISTS ON A PLANE: WINGS OF DREAD places its combatants inside the narrow corridors and passenger compartments of an aircraft, creating a setting where every confrontation presents additional risks to those onboard.
The film continues Well Go USA's distribution of international action and martial arts cinema, with its upcoming digital and streaming releases providing audiences access to the latest collaboration between Chen and Qin.
FISTS ON A PLANE: WINGS OF DREAD will be available on Digital beginning November 24, 2026, including an all-new English dub.
The film will subsequently premiere on the martial arts and Asian action streaming service Hi-YAH! on December 4, 2026.
