IFC Films & Shudder Unveil Teaser for The Rule of Jenny Pen, a Demented Thriller Starring Geoffrey Rush & John Lithgow

Today, IFC Films and Shudder released the teaser trailer for The Rule of Jenny Pen, a twisted psychological thriller that made waves at Fantastic Fest 2024. Directed by James Ashcroft, this unsettling dark comedy stars Geoffrey Rush as a once-powerful judge who suffers a stroke and finds himself trapped in a nursing home—where the true nightmare begins.

We caught the film last year and were blown away by its sinister, pitch-black humor that keeps you uneasy from start to finish. The film follows Judge Stefan Mortensen (Rush) as he struggles with partial paralysis and clashes with his unnervingly charming roommate, Dave Crealy (John Lithgow). While Crealy appears harmless, he rules the home with “The Rule of Jenny Pen”—a sadistic mind game played with his eerie dementia doll. What starts as childish torment escalates into something far more disturbing, forcing Mortensen to take matters into his own hands.

With a chilling atmosphere and masterful performances, The Rule of Jenny Pen is set to deliver an unforgettable cinematic experience when it hits theaters on March 7th.
