Aziz Ansari Directs and Stars Alongside Keanu Reeves in ‘Good Fortune’ — New Character Posters
Comedian and TV/film favorite Aziz Ansari is ready to unleash his directorial debut, Good Fortune, a supernatural comedy he also co-wrote and stars in. Teaming up with none other than Keanu Reeves, the film follows a down-on-his-luck gig worker (Ansari) whose fate is about to be flipped—literally.
Reeves plays Gabriel, a well-meaning but bumbling guardian angel trying to climb the celestial ranks by saving a lost soul—Aziz’s character. They join forces with a wealthy and chaotic venture capitalist (Seth Rogen), setting the stage for a mission filled with missteps, miracles, and manic laughs. The cast also includes Sandra Oh and Keke Palmer, rounding out what might be one of the most chaotic lineups of the fall.
Lionsgate recently dropped the first trailer along with a batch of colorful character posters ahead of the film’s theatrical release on October 17th. The trailer is laugh-out-loud funny, teasing a fresh blend of irreverent charm, existential screw-ups, and unexpected heart.
