Jason David Frank’s Final Performance Arrives This August with Legend of the White Dragon

There are certain releases that carry more weight than just the film itself—and Legend of the White Dragon is one of them.

Well Go USA Entertainment has officially acquired North American rights to the superhero action film, setting its theatrical release for August 28, 2026—National Power Rangers Day.

More than just another genre release, this marks the final on-screen performance of Jason David Frank, a name that defined a generation of fans through his legacy in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

Directed by Aaron Schoenke and Sean Schoenke, the film has been a long time coming—and from the outside looking in, it feels like a project built on persistence as much as passion.

Frank stars as Erik Reed, a former hero once known as the White Dragon, now living in exile after a battle leaves his city in ruins and his identity exposed. Once celebrated, he’s now blamed. Cut off from his family and the life he once knew, Erik is pulled back into a city that no longer trusts him, forced to confront both his past and a new threat tied directly to the same power that once defined him.

It’s a premise that leans into something more reflective than typical superhero fare—less about saving the world, more about reckoning with what’s left behind after you try.

The film also carries an added layer with the inclusion of Frank’s daughter, Jenna Frank, appearing alongside him, giving the project a personal dimension that goes beyond the screen.

The supporting cast brings together a mix of genre and legacy talent, including Rachele Brooke Smith, Andrew Bachelor, Michael Madsen, David Ramsey, and Mark Dacascos, along with several alumni from the Power Rangers universe—further grounding the film in the community that helped build Frank’s legacy.

Produced under Bat in the Sun Productions in association with Paradox House, Legend of the White Dragon represents a culmination of years of development, fan anticipation, and creative investment.

And that’s what stands out the most.

This isn’t just a film being released—it’s a moment being shared.

For longtime fans, it’s an opportunity to see Jason David Frank step into one final role. For others, it’s a chance to experience a story about identity, redemption, and what it means to carry a legacy forward when the world has already moved on.

August 28 isn’t just a strategic date.

It’s the right one.

And Legend of the White Dragon looks ready to meet it with the kind of energy—and emotion—that defined the man at its center.
