“Man Finds Tape” to Haunt Tribeca with Found-Footage Horror Premiere

Still from Man Finds Tape, showing eerie small-town horror and digital folklore.
A brother and sister return home to unravel viral horrors in Man Finds Tape, premiering at Tribeca.

Tribeca Film Festival is just around the corner, and we’ve got the scoop on one of this year’s most intriguing world premieres coming straight out of Texas. Filmmakers Peter Hall and Paul Gandersman are set to debut their supernatural horror mystery Man Finds Tape, a chilling blend of YouTube-era storytelling and found-footage unease. The film will premiere in the “Escape from Tribeca” section on Sunday, June 8.

Man Finds Tape centers on Lucas Page, creator of a viral YouTube channel of the same name, known for uploading eerie childhood videos that blur the line between nostalgia and nightmare. After receiving a cryptic call, his sister Lynn returns to their small Texas hometown to investigate a murder caught on video in broad daylight—one no one seems to remember. As the siblings dig deeper, they uncover disturbing phenomena tied to a mysterious, charismatic reverend and a past that refuses to stay buried.

The film stars Kelsey Pribilski, William Magnuson, John Gholson, Brian Villalobos, and Nell Kessler. Told with a clever narrative style and raw, lived-in performances, Man Finds Tape is a slow-burn supernatural mystery that leans into regional horror and digital folklore. Expect a haunting mix of small-town secrets, viral media paranoia, and chilling imagery.

Stay tuned for more updates on Man Finds Tape and our full coverage of this year’s Tribeca Film Festival.
