Michael Bisping Powers Up Atlas King With New Cast & Production Banner Punch It Films
Former UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping isn’t just stepping into the ring—he’s stepping behind the camera, too. The fighter-turned-actor has partnered with Storyman Pictures to launch Punch It Films, a new Los Angeles-based production and finance company making its debut at this year’s Marché du Film at Cannes. With a focus on gritty, cost-efficient genre films and Bisping’s unparalleled access to the global MMA world, Punch It Films is already throwing haymakers with its first feature, ATLAS KING.
The casting just leveled up with the addition of The Walking Dead star Sarah Wayne Callies and Emmy-winner Anne Winters (13 Reasons Why), who now join Bisping and George Finn (Tbilisi, I Love You) in the upcoming action thriller written and directed by Nika Agiashvili (Daughter of the Wolf).
In Atlas King, Bisping plays the titular ex-fighter who returns to his hometown after years in exile to bury a friend and face old demons. There, he reconnects with his godson (Finn), a low-level enforcer tangled in the grip of a criminal syndicate. The two forge a tense alliance and plan a heist that might be their only shot at freedom from a brutal mob boss.
Agiashvili is producing alongside John Edward Lee and George Finn for Storyman Pictures, with Bisping also on board as producer and Giga Chikadze (fellow UFC standout) as associate producer. Filming begins this summer in downtown Los Angeles.
“Storytelling and fighting aren’t so different. Both are about conflict, struggle, and heart,” said Bisping. “With Punch It Films, we’ll be bringing that to the big screen.”
Agiashvili added, “With Atlas King, we’re setting the tone—elevated action, emotional stakes, and characters that leave a mark. Sarah Wayne Callies and Anne Winters bring authenticity to roles central to the film’s heart.”
Callies, best known for Prison Break and The Walking Dead, continues to blend strength and vulnerability on screen, while Winters, who broke out on Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why and earned a Daytime Emmy for Zac & Mia, brings emotional nuance to genre fare. Both actresses represent the kind of thoughtful casting that could elevate Atlas King from fight flick to must-see crime saga.
Founded by Agiashvili and Finn, Storyman Pictures has long championed character-driven cinema across films like Green Story and Tbilisi, I Love You. Now, with Bisping’s Punch It Films, the team is bringing muscle and meaning together in a slate of action thrillers built for global audiences.
With Cannes heating up and a new genre banner rising, Atlas King is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated independent action releases on the horizon—and with Bisping at the helm, don’t expect it to pull any punches.
I was scrolling through Instagram when an ad popped up about a new way to play crash-style games. Curiosity got the better of me and I gave it a shot. The interface is pretty clean and user-friendly. I started small, just ₹100, and ended up with over ₹600 after a few rounds. It’s not every day something like this works in your favour, especially when you’ve had a streak of bad luck. Midway through the week, I found myself playing on the becric app during lunch breaks. It’s quick, doesn't lag, and honestly gives decent returns if you're patient.
