Netflix just came for the anime crown.

Live from Anime Expo 2025, the streamer dropped a sizzle reel-packed slate full of fresh premieres, long-awaited sequels, and new adaptations that prove their anime game has never been stronger. With trailers for fan-favorites like BEASTARS Final Season, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, Record of Ragnarok III, and My Melody & Kuromi, Netflix also used its panel to show off sneak peeks at upcoming newcomers like The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity, The Summer Hikaru Died, and SAKAMOTO DAYS.

If you’ve been sleeping on anime lately, this lineup is your wake-up call.

With over half of Netflix’s global user base tuning into anime, the platform is now prioritizing global access—offering dubs, subs, and audio descriptions in over 33 languages. What was once niche is now full-scale: from supernatural teen horror to stop-motion Sanrio sweetness, Netflix is making sure every viewer—casual or obsessed—has something to hit ‘Play’ on this summer.

Let’s break it down.

  • BEASTARS Final Season (Part 2) – The final chapter of Paru Itagaki’s beloved drama begins as Legoshi, Louis, and Haru face the ghosts of their violent pasts.

  • Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 – New standalone story. New edge. Same violent neon-drenched chaos.

  • Record of Ragnarok III – Gods vs. humanity hits Round 7. The bloodiest score to date.

  • My Melody & Kuromi – Sanrio’s cutest rivals get the stop-motion treatment for their anniversary run in Mariland.

Starting July 14

  • SAKAMOTO DAYS Part 2 – The world’s chillest ex-hitman returns to protect his family with everyday violence and dad strength.

  • The Summer Hikaru Died (July 5) – Something’s wrong with Hikaru… and it’s not just his memory. Supernatural dread meets rural horror.

  • Leviathan (July 10) – Steampunk, disguise, revolution. Set aboard a bioengineered airship in 1914.

  • The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity (Sept 7) – A patisserie boy and a girl from rival schools cross societal lines in this romantic slow burn.

  • Dan Da Dan Season 2, The Summer Hikaru Died, and SAKAMOTO DAYS will release new episodes weekly—a format Netflix anime fans have been asking for.

  • The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity is shaping up to be one of the most visually distinct romance dramas in their upcoming lineup.

  • Cyberpunk and BEASTARS finales are both event television—expect timeline domination the second they drop.

The Anime Expo sizzle reel didn’t stop at shows. Netflix teased games coming to their platform, tying into major IPs. While details are light, the synergy between anime storytelling and interactive media is something to keep your eye on.

Netflix has quietly built one of the most versatile and accessible anime platforms around. Whether you’re here for action, horror, heartbreak, or Sanrio mascots throwing hands in slow motion, there’s something waiting in your queue.

And if Devil May Cry, Dan Da Dan, or Sakamoto Days weren’t on your radar already—trust us, they should be now.

New episodes begin rolling out July 5.
