Scream and Cry Brings Horror-Comedy Chaos to Magnolia Selects This September

Goth girl and possessed puppet rat team up for twisted terror and cheeky reviews in Scream and Cry Horror Movie Review.

SCREAM AND CRY: HORROR’S GOTH GIRL AND POSSESSED RAT DUO LAND AT MAGNOLIA

Magnolia Pictures just lit a black candle and summoned one of the most devilishly fun acquisitions of the season: Scream and Cry Horror Movie Review, a campy basement-bound horror-comedy series that will begin streaming September 25 on Magnolia Selects and their genre label Monsters & Nightmares.

The first 8 episodes will be available to stream day one, each diving into Magnolia’s own vault of horror titles with a blend of demonic hijinks and critical chops. You can catch the official trailer

Created with midnight-movie flair and a punk-rock energy, the series stars Mimi Torres as Scream, a delightfully dry goth girl trapped in a review dungeon with her co-host Cry—a puppet rat possessed by infernal forces and voiced by none other than E.G. Daily (Rugrats, The Devil’s Rejects).

Together, they host a fever dream of a horror review show that’s part Elvira, part Greg the Bunny, and all blood-soaked sass. As they fend off demons and drop hot takes, they’re joined by a recurring cast including Juliet Landau, Thom Pinto, Bill Prokopow, and Donte Paris.

The first season’s slate of reviewed films is a horror lover’s dream playlist:

  • Agnes

  • Alone

  • Amulet

  • Censor

  • Held

  • Kiss of the Damned

  • Severance

  • Splinter

  • The Canyon

  • The Sacrament

  • Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil

  • V/H/S: Viral

With practical effects, demon banter, and cheeky reviews of indie and cult horror gems, Scream and Cry promises to be your new late-night obsession.

Stream it starting September 25 on Magnolia Selects and Monsters & Nightmares—and let the possessed puppet chaos begin.
