The Hamptons meets Ghostface in THE PREMIERE, a hilariously chaotic SCREAM-inspired musical mockumentary.

New Trailer | SCREAM Musical Mockumentary THE PREMIERE Hits On Demand August 19

If you thought you’d seen every possible twist on Scream, think again. Pezzullo Productions is about to drop THE PREMIERE, a mockumentary that trades Ghostface’s blade for Broadway belts, blending self-aware satire with the chaotic charm of small-town theatrics.

Written, directed, and starring Pezzullo himself, the film follows Sam, a narcissistic theater producer determined to mount the most ambitious—and ridiculous—production of his career: a full-blown musical adaptation of Scream. Naturally, the journey is documented for posterity… or maybe just for Sam’s ego.

What starts as a love letter to his favorite movie spirals into a cringe-comedy odyssey, colliding with an eccentric roster of real-life Hamptons locals. Through improv-heavy scenes, awkward silences, and explosive personality clashes, THE PREMIERE serves up a biting satire of artistic obsession, community quirks, and the thin line between passion and delusion.

If Christopher Guest’s Waiting for Guffman hooked up with What We Do in the Shadows after a Hamptons wine tasting, you’d get something close to THE PREMIERE. But here, the star isn’t Ghostface—it’s the absurdity of artistic ambition itself, played out against a very real, very idiosyncratic coastal backdrop.

For horror fans, it’s a clever meta-nod to Scream’s legacy, while theater lovers will recognize the chaos and heartbreak of trying to “make art” in a town where everyone thinks they’re already the star.

THE PREMIERE hits On Demand August 19. Whether you’re here for the Scream send-up, the Hamptons satire, or the sheer schadenfreude of watching a doomed production unfold—you might want to grab your tickets early. In Sam’s world, the drama starts long before opening night.

Written, directed, and produced by: Christopher Bouckoms + Sam Pezzullo

Cast: Christina Brown, Alan Ceppos, Kristen Curcie, Timothy Dougherty, Wendy Federman, Lisa Gallo, Jacqueline Murphy, Sam Pezzullo, Marissa Ruben, Jenni Ruiza

Under LED race lights, my neon-orange bodywork glows like fire in motion survival race. This isn’t just a car anymore—it’s a predator designed for the kill.
