SCREAMBOX Unveils New Original and Exclusive Horror Slate as Subscriber Growth Surges
Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting are doubling down on horror.
Cineverse and its genre arm Bloody Disgusting have officially announced a stacked new programming slate headed to SCREAMBOX, signaling another aggressive push as the platform continues its steady growth.
According to Cineverse, SCREAMBOX subscribers were up 18% year-over-year as of December 2025, helping fuel a broader 13% YOY subscriber increase across Cineverse’s streaming channels business, with subscription revenue climbing 8% compared to the same quarter last year.
“With a mix of originals, exclusives, and more great programming that horror fans love, we’re extremely proud how far SCREAMBOX has come nearly five years after joining the Cineverse family,” said Tom Owen, Cineverse Vice President of Network Strategies and Bloody Disgusting co-founder. “As we celebrate Bloody Disgusting’s 25th anniversary, there is no better way to start the year than with such an eclectic range of films and series.”
Now Streaming on SCREAMBOX
The platform is already rolling out new content, led by a mix of originals, cult favorites, and international genre titles:
Bloody Bites: Season 16 – Bite-sized horror shorts presented by Bloody Disgusting and Scotchworthy Productions, with new episodes dropping every Friday.
The Toxic Avenger – The cult classic returns, following janitor Winston Gooze’s transformation into an unlikely hero after a horrific toxic accident.
Generation Z – A chemical leak sparks an apocalypse led by flesh-hungry pensioners, trapping a group of teens in a rapidly collapsing town.
Self Help – A woman infiltrates a dangerous self-actualization group after her mother falls under the influence of its enigmatic leader.
Savage Flowers – In a world where children carry an infection, a young orphan discovers the real danger lies inside her foster home.
Coming Soon
SCREAMBOX’s upcoming slate continues through March with a strong genre mix:
The Unknowable: Darkland (Streaming Feb. 3) – A supernatural mystery tied to disappearances surrounding a long-abandoned amusement park.
Blood Barn (Streaming Feb. 17) – A final summer barn party spirals into chaos when something ancient awakens.
Pig Hill (Streaming March 10) – A local legend involving grotesque “pig people” resurfaces as women begin vanishing.
The Dæmon (Streaming March 17) – A grief-stricken man returns to his father’s lakeside cottage, only to confront an ancient force lurking beneath the water.
